Refresh for Zak, Switzerland’s first neobanking app
Zak, Bank Cler’s neobanking app, has been given a new look. Scholtysik has modernised the entire user interface and designed new features, with a focus on intuitive operation and a brand-typical experience. The popular “pots” remain the centrepiece and USP of Switzerland’s first neobank.
Bank Cler set a milestone with its launch in 2018: Zak, Switzerland’s first neobank, is designed from the ground up for mobile use and is significantly faster and more intuitive than traditional mobile banking. The division of the balance into individual budget pots is particularly popular – a concept from behavioural economics that perfectly suits Zak’s young target group.
UI refresh: familiar patterns, brand-typical experience
Zak is constantly evolving based on the results of regular user research. In a process lasting several months, Scholtysik has now completely redesigned the app’s interface and added new features. The new Zak experience is more in line with the best practices of mobile operating systems. The benefits for users are obvious: even complex banking transactions can be completed more quickly and easily.
“Scholtysik knows how to create digital experiences that both convey the character of the brand and meet the needs of users,” says Debora Gassmann, Head of Digital Marketing at Bank Cler. “This is how Zak takes the next step forward.”
New features and refresh pay off
The new features and modernised interface are already proving successful. The new savings feature has already attracted over 120 million Swiss Francs in the first few months. Downloads and usage also continue to grow, with the app attracting over 10,000 new customers within a year.
