Scholtysik & Partner support Coop Alleanza 3.0 in special branding projects. The tasks include brand architecture, strategic design and naming. The agency cooperates with the Marketing and Corporate Communications departments.
Coop: best known retail brand in Italy
Coop is Italy’s most popular retail brand with a market share of 18 percent and annual revenues of € 13 billion. In addition to its traditional supermercato and ipermercato formats with its wide food and non-food product ranges, Coop operates online stores and several specialized retailers such as opticians, book stores, florists, pharmacies, jewellery stores or travel agencies as well as petrol stations. Coop is best-known across Italy for its own brands but offers also a wide range of other brands.
Consumer cooperative since 1854
Coop is a system of 7 larger and 86 smaller consumers’ cooperatives with a common brand and common products. Coop Alleanza 3.0 is the largest of these cooperatives by far with 2.7 million members, 22 000 employees and some 400 points of sale across the country.
Coop Italy has nothing to do with Coop Switzerland or other European retailers operating under this name.
