Scholtysik receives the German Corporate Design Award
The Corporate Design Award 2020 goes to Scholtysik for the redesign of Universitäre Psychiatrische Kliniken Basel (UPK Basel).
“Excellence in corporate design” is the jury’s verdict as it finds the new visual identity of UPK Basel “both greatly inspiring and highly consistent.” The 16 jury members represent noted agencies and design studios as well as brand managers from well-known companies.
Scholtysik developed a brand identity for UPK Basel that ”equally addresses the people of the region as well as the global scientific community. (…) The corporate design combines medical expertise with accessible, low-treshold care for all. The hand-drawn illustrations increase recognition and reduce the distance in perception of psychiatric illnesses.”
UPK Basel CEO Konrad Widmer comments: “We are delighted at this great international recognition of our new corporate design. Scholtysik got to the core of our brand and translated that into a perfectly fitting design.”
The redesign of UPK Basel has been previously awarded a global REBRAND 100 Award and a DDC Medal.
