Brand strategy for the largest rehabilitation clinic group in Switzerland
The merger of Kliniken Valens and Zürcher Rehazentren creates the largest provider of medical rehabilitation in Switzerland. The brand strategy for the merged clinic group is developed by Scholtysik.
The need for medical rehabilitation in Switzerland is growing rapidly as the population ages and the number of chronically ill patients increases. In August 2023, Zürcher Rehazentren and Kliniken Valens decide to join forces. The merger creates the largest full-service provider for medical rehabilitation in Switzerland with 12 inpatient and outpatient clinics and over 2,200 employees. Around 10,000 patients a year will receive individually tailored and holistic rehabilitation in the new clinic group.
Positioning, naming and brand portfolio strategy of the new clinic group
As part of the multi-year integration process, one of the tasks is to define the brand strategy for the new clinic group. Scholtysik was awarded the contract in a multi-stage evaluation process. The agency impressed those responsible with its structured approach and many years of experience in strategic branding. Scholtysik will first analyse the positioning of the new clinic group as well as the individual locations and offerings. On this basis, the future brand portfolio, the naming and the new overall brand identity will be developed in close cooperation with the client.
